All Sydney City Toyota (S.C.T. Pty Ltd) staff will consider the environmental purchasing policy, where applicable, when making final decisions on purchasing products and services for the company's use.

These considerations are in place to ensure that Sydney City Toyota complies with the Toyota Environmental Dealership guidelines (issued by Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Ltd) and strives to be an industry leader in:

  • Reducing the impact that the day to day operations of the dealership have on the environment
  • Reduction of carbon footprint and emissions
  • Reducing source waste and the usage of non renewable natural resources
  • Supporting businesses and campaigns that give back to local communities and the environment through environmental initiatives
  • Public image through our commitment to environmental projects

We will also give preference to the purchase of environmentally friendly products and services as set out below, that are aligned with our dealership's presentation standards, cost effectiveness and efficiencies.

The factors to be considered are:

  • Sourcing products made in an efficient, ethical and environmentally responsible way.
  • The use of energy efficient equipment, including vehicles. This includes the preferable use of equipment that has a natural or renewable energy source.
  • Products that are bio degradable and have minimal impact (Non-Hazardous) to the environment and can be recycled or are reusable to reduce waste generation.
  • Products that have minimal water used in production and require minimal water in usage.
