In 2009, Sydney City Toyota continued to develop its waste and recycling management at its Waterloo and Glebe Service Centres.

|
The key factors that influenced the quantity of materials recycled during the year were:
- The move from cardboard to plastic packaging for several parts
- A greater volume of Parts, Distribution and fitting of accessories business conducted at our Banksmeadow facility.
- Investment of water tanks to capture and reuse wash bay waters.
Overall, the waste management behaviours of the service department personnel are reported to have improved since the recycling and residual waste management systems was introduced.
